Long Bay Restaurant is a completely unique location for your functions within natural park settings and beautiful ocean views.

Booking Information

Hireage Fee: $500 Friday, Saturday and Sunday. $250 Monday - Thursday

Booking minimums: 50 people.
We can accommodate up to 65 people indoors and up to 85 people with the enclosed deck canopy.

 

WEDDING INFORMATION

 

Long Bay Restaurant is a completely unique location for your wedding.  Situated in Long Bay Regional Park we boast the best views in Auckland. Coupled with award winning food and welcoming service we can help make your wedding day everything you hoped for.

 

 

BASIC BOOKING INFORMATION

 

To book the restaurant exclusively we charge a $500 hireage fee.  We ask for a minimum of 50 guests to do this.  For Winter Weddings (May 1st to Aug 31st) the booking fee is $250.

 

We can accommodate up to 65 people indoors and up to 85 people utilising the adjacent covered deck area for seated dinners.  More people can be accommodated for 'finger food only' occasions.

 

 

YOUR CEREMONY

 

Many couples choose to be wed on our spacious deck with the ocean as a backdrop.  This is spectacular during a fine afternoon or at dusk of a full moon.  There is no additional charge to use this facility if you have booked the restaurant exclusively. If the weather isn;t perfect then you can get married under our outdoor canopy with clear drop sides to shelter from wind.  We can supply archways, pedestals, and isle decorations at an additional cost or set up a simple yet elegant ceremony.  The deck features a canopied area that offers  full protection against rain and wind if need be.

 

Ceremonies may also take place in the park itself either amongst the trees or on the beach.  Please call the Auckland regional parks line 09 366 2000 for more information on this option.

 

 

THE SETTING

 

We offer a range of options to set the atmosphere for your big day

Our table set up includes white table clothes, starched white linen napkins, Oil lamps or candles, table flowers, and the appropriate glassware and cutlery. Please do discuss any ideas you have for the design of your tables with us.  We are happy to help where we can.

 

A seating plan can be designed to accommodate the number of your guests, the style of your wedding and the catering options you choose.  

 

BEVERAGE OPTIONS

 

We are fully licensed, providing an extensive wine selection and full bar service.  A range of non-alcoholic beverage is also available.   We are happy to design a bar menu to your tastes and budget and you will probably find that you don't have to break the bank to provide a great bar tab.

 

 

MUSIC AND DANCING

 

We can provide music from our in-house collection, or you can provide CD’s, an iPod (or mp3 player) or an acoustic non amplified musician.   Due to noise restrictions, there is a ban on DJ’s, jukeboxes, or electrified bands playing in the park or at the restaurant. We do have outdoor speakers which can be used with an mp3 player or we can play an mp3 CD (private functions only).

 

 

NOTE: Fireworks of any kind are strictly forbidden in the Park or on the beach. This includes the restaurant.

 

WEDDING PACKAGES

Package 1

$80  per person (special winter rates apply) this includes:

        

        ~   Ceremony set up on ocean side deck

~          Full table set up with white table cloths, white starched linen napkins, table flowers in single stemmed vases in your choice of colours and candles.

~          2 pre-dinner canapés

~          A buffet meal with dessert or  three course set menu

~   Tea and coffee

~   Full serving staff for the evening, set up and cleanup

 

 

Package 2

$90 - $97.50  per person this includes:

~          White Table cloths, white starched linen napkins and a choice of flower and candle options.

~          4 pre-dinner canapés

~          A deluxe buffet meal or set menu 

~          Tea & coffee

~    Full service staff for evening, set up and cleanup

HOURS

 

The restaurant is available from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm for an afternoon wedding, and from 4:30 pm (4pm for winter weddings) for an evening wedding.

 

Our liquor license terminates at midnight, so we will stop serving alcohol at 11:45 to give people time to vacate the premises by 12:15
