Long Bay Restaurant is a completely unique location for your wedding.  Situated in Long Bay Regional Park we boast the best views in Auckland. Coupled with award winning food and welcoming service we can help make your wedding day everything you hoped for.



Booking Information

To book the restaurant exclusively we charge a hire fee.  We ask a minimum of 50 guests to do this.  Under certain circumstances this fee may be waved or diminished (mid winter or weekday weddings).

We can accommodate up to 65 people indoors and up to around 85 utilising the adjacent covered area of the deck for a seated dinner.  More can be accommodated for finger food on occasions.



The Ceremony

Many couples have chosen to be wed on our spacious deck with the ocean as a backdrop.  This is spectacular during a fine afternoon or at dusk.  There is no additional charge to use this facility if you have booked the restaurant exclusively. The deck features a canopied area that offers protection against rain and wind if need be.

Ceremonies may also take place in the park itself, either amongst the trees or on the beach.  Please call the Auckland regional parks line 09 366 2000 for more information on this option.



The Setting

We offer a range of options to set the atmosphere for your big day
Our table set up includes white table clothes, white linen napkins, tea-lights, table flowers, and the appropriate glassware and cutlery. Please do discuss any ideas you have for the design of your tables with us.  We are happy to help where we can.

A seating plan can be designed to accommodate the number of your guests, the style of your wedding and the catering options you choose.  






Beverage Options

We are fully licensed, providing an extensive wine selection and full bar service.    A range of non-alcoholic beverages is also available.  We can supply exotic fruit punches and non-alcoholic or alcoholic pitcher cocktails. If you have any favourites not featured on our wine list we may be able to source these for you.  We can design a beverage package to fit your specific needs.  




Catering Options
CANAPÉS
We offer a selection of hot and cold canapés.  These might be served as your guests arrive, or between the ceremony and dinner while you may be away having photos taken.  A sample menu is attached.

If you would like to have a finger food event rather than a sit down meal we can design a package to suit your desires.

BUFFET MEAL
Your choice of two meat dishes, accompanied by an extensive salad selection, stir fried vegetables, pilaf rice and desserts.

PLATED MEAL
We offer a set menu option with two choices of entrée, main, and dessert.




Music and Dancing

We can provide music from our in-house collection, or you can provide CD’s, or an acoustic Band. Due to noise restrictions in the reserve, there is a ban on DJ’s, juke boxes, or electric bands playing in the park or at the restaurant. We do have outdoor speakers which can be used with an mp3 player or we can play an mp3 CD (private functions only).

NOTE: Fireworks of any kind are strictly forbidden in the Park or on the beach. This includes the restaurant.




HOURS

The restaurant is available from 10:30 am to 3.30 pm for an afternoon wedding, and from 4:30 pm for an evening wedding.

Our liquor license terminates at midnight.  We stop serving alcohol at 11:30 to give people time to vacate the premises by 12:15
